My husband and I met back in 2004 in college. He was a personal trainer and Abs instructor (His class was called, Abs that rock! ) So cheesy!!) and I was teaching Pilates. We struck up a great friendship, which eventually led to marriage. We are each other’s best friend and we love any chance to cook, bake, and eat together.
Cade and I now have two darling girls, Peyton-6 and Claire-2. We love anything that we can do together, especially cooking, baking, exercising, reading, and watching movies. We loooove to travel, discover new places, restaurants, and activities, and we especially love our readers. We currently reside in Lehi, Utah.
What Sweet Basil Is All About
This is a place that you will learn new recipes, tips on cooking and inspiration to get back to the basics and build a healthy and strong relationship with those around you. Whether you are a seasoned cook, or a reluctant one, there is something for all of you. Not everyone grew up cooking, but there is still time to learn. The recipes tell you exactly what to do and if there isn’t an ingredient you are used to it will be explained and you’ll even be directed where to buy it. The “Cooking Tips” is a great section where I’ll place all of my posts about handy tricks, tips and facts to help you be more successful in the kitchen.
Everyone should learn how to cook at least a few things. We all completely believe in you. I believe in you, and I’m so excited to help you be successful in the kitchen and with your loved ones.
“Reinventing Family Dinner”-
Having family dinner around a table with home cooked food somewhat of a lost tradition these days. I sincerely believe that getting back into the kitchen and making your own food versus eating out all of the time is not only healthier for your weight, but for your mind and spirit too. We love that being in the kitchen together opens up opportunities to really talk to each other. Making memories in and outside the kitchen will last a lifetime, and help us to build better relationships with each other.
