When it’s about time for the kids to be out on school break I start to prepare myself. It’s not that I’m worried about them fighting, or being around more, it’s that I know that being home all day versus busy at school means that I need to be ready with food and activities. The activities I’m not as good at, but the food I can handle. I especially tackle homemade snacks so that A. they can help which fights boredom and B. it’s something new that I don’t have to worry about packing in a lunch so the kids enjoy it more. These 5 ingredient no bake white chocolate energy bites have protein to keep them full longer and provide great nutrition and a little chocolate to keep things fun.
And let’s be honest, I can’t stay out of them! I love the flavor, the size is perfect, and I especially like that it’s not the typical energy bite. I love all of the different recipes out there, but we were looking for something a little more clean without the honey, peanut butter etc. Not that those things are bad, I actually love both! They are so yummy either way but this one has a few ingredients and they kind of remind me of an oatmeal cookie!
We have a few snacks around the web that we love as well like, Sweet Treats and More’s Healthy No Bake Chocolate Bites with bananas. You’d think they were big fat cinnamon rolls or something with how little control I have around those darn things. And putting it on a banana may seem like no big deal, but I’m telling you, it’s awesomeness. We also love Cupcakes and Kale Chips No-Bake Apricot Energy Bars. And heaven knows all of us adults could always use more energy. ALWAYS.
And I believe this explains exactly why. Dang kids. 😉
Are Craisins The Same Thing As Raisins?
Craisins are not the same thing as raisins.
Raisins are dried grapes.
Craysons are dried cranberries.
Are Craisins Healthy?
Dried cranberries contain the same nutrients as fresh cranberries, dietary fiber and antioxidants.
The commercial drying processes reduce the vitamin C and A content quite a bit.
Is Protein Powder Safe?
Protein powder is a good, safe source for protein, although a person should be able to get the right amount of protein from the food they eat.
There is a slight danger in eating too much protein.
Too much protein puts strain on the kidneys, can lead to dehydration, bloating, nausea, and osteoporosis.
That being said, protein powders are generally safe and can help you build muscle and strength, lose weight, reduce your appetite and boost your metabolism.

These look great! Are there any substitutions that you would recommend for the protein powder? Or is it pretty necessary?
Sweet Basil
Well, the protein powder is what gives you a proper energy boost versus a sugar boost, but you could always leave it out. 🙂

These look really good! I have never made something like this so I’m really curious to give it a try. Do you have a suggestion for a brand or kind of protein powder I should use? I think I might do raisins and dark chocolate chips.
Sweet Basil
We like Complete Nutrition or Quest for protein. 🙂 Can’t wait to hear how the raisins and dark chocolate go!
