Everyone begs me for my Banana Bread so here it is for all to get whenever they want! ohsweetbasil.com

This banana bread recipe always makes me think of my mom. It’s not that she made it all the time, but when she did, oh yum!! It was such a special treat for us. I would watch her make it and hover in the kitchen until it was done. Then as soon as it came out the whole kitchen was flooded with people taking a slice. If there ever was any leftover I would sneak a slice, add a little butter, and nuke it in the microwave for a few seconds to get it all warm and wonderful. It was perfection.

Some prefer their banana bread with walnuts, but we add chocolate chips. It’s just how it should be in my mind.

This recipe is adapted from my mom’s and I hope you all enjoy!

  1. Have you ever tried making your banana bread with sour cream? It is amazing and I won’t make any other recipe. The sour cream makes it moist and really irresistible. Just a tip since I noticed on insta you mentioning trying all recipes.
