Have you ever had our totally awesome, killer, buttery, cheesy pieces of deliciousness also known as Ham and Cheese Sliders? They are so, so good. And anything that good should always be made into multiple other versions so that you can eat them as much as possible, which is why we’ve turned them into chicken cordon bleu sliders. YUM!!!
I’m actually sitting here typing this thinking about celebrations and what in the heck I’m going to get the hubby, listening to little girls playing upstairs with friends (yes, I’m breaking my no blogging while kids are up rule because they’ve been playing for so long) and rocking out to a little show tunes on Pandora. Ohhhhh, you didn’t realize that I was a dork like that?! Well, I am. So let’s forget the stress of husband gifting and talk about musicals.
I LOVE musicals. I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s mostly the music I love. In fact the song just switched from Defying Gravity to a little les miserables action. I haven’t ever read the book, but gosh I love the songs. I am always surprised when I hear that someone doesn’t like musicals. Especially Wicked. WHAT?! It’s so fun! How could you not like it? Oklahoma has fantastic music but I never realized just how wretched Jud is! Same thing with Annie. Our girls were watching it and I ran upstairs, but when I came back our 8 year old said, “I don’t like how that orphanage lady acts. It doesn’t make me feel good inside.” Shoot, mom fail right there. It may not be anything graphic or horrible but I’d forgotten what a not so great person she was. Ahhh, but still such fun watching all of these movies. Especially around the holidays! So what’s your favorite or are you a musical hater?

These look delish! For the honey mustard sauce, do you use regular old yellow mustard or dijon mustard?
Sweet Basil
We generally use yellow but occasionally throw in dijon and both are yummy!
