Ya know what I hate? Day old, dry rice. It’s all crunchy and nasty. Did you know that adding a splash of water before reheating old rice brings it right back to normal? Yup, it does. And now I’m off to feed a baby. Much love.

Carrian! I have the BEST ham fried rice. It's in NO way healthy, but it tastes fantastic! I'll make it here soon and post it so you can have the recipe!

Cassie, my bacon fried rice uses day old too, but I've never found a good ham friend rice (the recipes I've tried the ham always ends up rock hard) I'd loooove to try yours!

Great tip! I struggle with left over rice. It usually gets added to soup. I will try this next time.

I have a recipe for ham fried rice that is perfect with day old rice. I should give it to you…

I can totally sympathize. I ate that nasty crunchy rice for years until my Japanese friend enlightened me. Now I love leftover rice!
