I really wanted to title this post, Favorite Swimsuits that don’t give you wedgies, aren’t bikinis and moms everywhere can rock, but alas, it’s not all true.
The truth is, if we are going to talk bathing suits and all my favorite swimsuits we are going to have to buck up and talk about wedgies, the lack of coverage and why in the heck I’m buying swimsuits in January.
We recently had the most amazing vacation ever, ever, ever. It was everything you could want in a vacation and we will be posting about all the details next week. In the meantime. all photos are from Casa Mariposa in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
So here’s the deal, once summer hits everyone is desperate for a new suit and I personally can never find one. My secret for the past 5 years has been to shop for bathing suits in the winter. As summer approaches I definitely keep an eye on things, but I’m not only never under pressure to shop, but the winter has variety that is often sold out as warm weather approaches.
I couldn’t get a really good picture of the detail on this suit, so pardon the up-close and personal, plus harsh burn lines photos. I try to look for really classic suits; classic colors, lines etc but small details that make it a little different which is why I love this white bathing suit.
AND!!! It’s almost 50% off right now so hurry up and buy it!!!
Hopefully you’ll be smarter than me with that sunburn. More sunscreen and probably best to wear the lower neckline the first day so tan lines don’t look ridiculous. Maybe…
I think there are a lot of cute styles out there, but I’m not sure they are as cute and flattering on the body as we would like. I’ve got kids I’m running around with and playing in the water alongside with and I want to dress my body in a way that feels good to me.
I tend to wear a lot of one pieces because I have a smaller frame and it fits my shape well. You may feel more pulled in other directions.
Sadly some of my favorite swimsuits were purchased over a year ago and no longer exist but I found a bunch of new ones to share with all of you!

Black bathing suits are an absolute staple in my wardrobe. I have three and will continue to buy one every time I find it. However, this picture is actually not about the bathing suit or me trying to look like I’m about to flex. My sunglasses fell off and sunk quickly to the bottom of the pool so I was just looking for them, haha!
This black bathing suit has so far been my favorite. It almost looks like leather and I like that the neck line is different than most bathing suits.
It’s actually a shaping bathing suit, but whether you need that or not, it just fits in all the right places. However the only one left isn’t the regular swimsuit. But if you need one for a bigger cup size, well here it is, Black One Piece Bathing Suit.
My go-to is always Asos. But Called to Surf and all the others listed below are high on my list as well.
Zulu and Zephyr– watching for this to go on sale!
I live in a constant state of waiting for this one to be in my size…
