 Game Day Snack Ideas

5 Minute Garlic Hummus and Mini Green Goddess Sandwiches

 Simple but flavorful sandwiches!


5 Minute Garlic Hummus

  • 1 Can Chickpeas, drained
  • 2 Tablespoons Tahini, usually found by the peanut butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Fresh Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • Pitas

Mini Green Goddess Sandwiches

  • 1/2 Cup Mayo
  • 1 Tablespoon Siracha
  • 8 Pieces Whole Wheat Bread, remove crust and then cut in half
  • 8 Slices Havarti Cheese
  • 2 Avocados, slices
  • 1 Cup Fresh Spinach Leaves


5 Minute Garlic Hummus

  • Combine ingredients in food processor and blend until consistency is smooth.
    1 Can Chickpeas, 2 Tablespoons Tahini, 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice, Pinch Salt, 1-2 Tablespoons Fresh Garlic, 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • If you find the consistency is too thick, add water 1 Teaspoon at a time and then continue blending.
  • Garnish with additional chopped garlic and some olive oil.
  • Cut pitas into small triangles and serve with hummus.

Mini Green Goddess Sandwiches

  • Combine mayo and siracha in a small bowl.
    1/2 Cup Mayo, 1 Tablespoon Siracha
  • Take a piece of bread and spread the desired amount of siracha mayo on top.
    8 Pieces Whole Wheat Bread
  • Layer 1 piece of cheese, 2 slices of avocado, and 3-4 spinach leaves.
    2 Avocados, 8 Slices Havarti Cheese, 1 Cup Fresh Spinach Leaves
  • Place other piece of bread on top.
  • Continue until you have 8 sandwiches.
