Hi everyone! Des from Life’s Ambrosia here again! Today I am bringing a dip with me that is perfect for all of those summer BBQ and backyard parties that you are bound to be enjoying this year. This dip is super easy to make and tastes even better the next day so it’s perfect for the host who wants a little more time to enjoy their guests. Loaded with shredded pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon, green onions, dill and tangy ranch dressing mix, this Pepper Jack Bacon Ranch Dip is bound to be a favorite.
Whenever I get invited to a BBQ or potluck, I am always the first one to offer to bring a dip. Dips are my absolute favorite. In fact, if we ever find ourselves at a party together you will likely find me hovering over the dips. It’s kind of an obsession. It’s because of this obsession that I am always on the lookout for new dips to try. And that is where this little beauty comes from.
I have tried dips like this before but they were Cheddar Bacon Ranch Dips. They were good and all but for this recipe, I wanted to switch things up a bit and use pepper jack cheese. I just love the hint of spice that it gives without being overly spicy. I also chose to add some fresh chopped green onions, because I love the oniony flavor. Some fresh dill was a must because fresh dill just screams summer to me.
With all this goodness, it is no wonder that this dip is thick. Thanks in part to the sour cream used. I didn’t use fat free, or even low fat sour cream. It’s the full fat, gimme all the cream, sour cream. No skimping here. I mean, there is already bacon and cheese in this bacon ranch dip so I thought why not just go for it?
And I’m kinda glad I did. 🙂
