Pepperoni Pizza Puffs and Barbies
Did you ever play with Barbies when you were younger? I loved them as a kid. I would work hard to do little extra chores for money (I’ve never worked in the yard more than I did before I ever turned 10) and then save, and save, and save until I finally had enough money for a brand new barbie. I know, I was such a girly girl wasn’t I? Now, if I’d had these pepperoni pizza puffs and Barbies I may never have left my room!
Everyone goes all crazy about Barbies and how fake they are bla bla bla, but honestly it never even crossed my mind to be like barbie when I was little. This probably isn’t true for all little girls and now as a mother myself I can see how Barbies are a tad ridiculous (could we get them some underwear for heaven’s sake?!) and could definitely be a little more realistic, but I do let our girls play with them. In fact, Santa Claus brought them gobs of new stuff for Christmas so I feel like I’m drowning in it this year (thank you KSL for the dang good deal!).
I guess in the end I feel like it let’s the girls use their imaginations and play instead of just sitting around watching tv. And the best part is that even though they are 4 years apart they truly love playing together. I’m praying so hard that this is a friendship that lasts forever for them. There’s nothing more fun than a good sister to play with. And on this particular day they are playing animal rescue with the Barbies and eating Pepperoni Pizza Puffs. Oh, if only I knew how good I had it as a little girl.
