Someone has created a monster in me and it ain’t pretty. I tried these freeze dried pomegranate yogurt bites (no this isn’t a sponsored posts, but my friend Michelle does work with Thrive Life and let me try the product) Y’all not only are they amazing, but slap them in a granola bar or breakfast bar and heaven, you’re in heaven. (Ps, I’m sitting outside with warm sunshine and a cool breeze as I type this. A rainstorm is rolling in and I am munching on these bars. I am also in Heaven. Gosh, I love today.)

I’ve always been taught that having a food storage is essential for a home, but it’s always been incredibly overwhelming to me. I’ve mentioned it before, but the religion I belong to emphasizes that being prepared temporally and spiritually (not being in debt, preparing financially for a raining day, food storage in case of a loss of job or natural disaster, as well as being strong spiritually for the trials of life) prepared is essential to life. And we’ve lived it. A few years ago we decided to work really hard and build up a good food storage (things that last for years and you can cook with when in need like freeze dried, grains, etc) and when we went through a period of unemployment it was a true blessing. We were able to use our food storage and not rely on the government, family, religion etc to pay for our food nor did we have to go without.
