Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Milkshake

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Milkshake

Hi everyone! Des from Life’s Ambrosia here again! This time I’ve brought dessert with me. And not just any dessert, a pumpkin dessert. It is October after all, the month we pumpkin all the things. Today I am bringing a fall twist to the milkshake with this Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Milkshake.

I stocked up on pumpkin a month or so ago when it was on sale at my local grocery store. Since then I have been knee deep in pumpkin desserts. Pretty much all of these have involved baking. And while I love to bake, love the spicy smell of cinnamon and nutmeg coming out of the oven, the other day I just wanted a quick and easy pumpkin dessert. Something that would make a great afternoon pick me up for the kiddos and me.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Milkshake

The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Milkshake is just that. All you need is some vanilla ice cream, pumpkin puree, cinnamon and chocolate chips. Blend it all together in your blender and bam, afternoon snack time in 30 seconds. When it comes to pumpkin desserts it really doesn’t get much easier.

The whipped cream and chocolate syrup are optional.

But really, why wouldn’t you want them?

Can You freeze a Milkshake?

Yes, you can freeze milkshakes, but after a while the shake will lose it’s quality.

You can freeze shakes for up to 2 months.

Remove from the freezer and allow to sit for 20 minutes.

Then pop it in a blender for a few seconds, or shake really well to reintroduce air bubbles.

Will Milkshake Help an Upset Stomach?

The calcium in milk actually increases gastric acid secretion, which will increase stomach upset.

In most cases, adults and children should avoid milk and other dairy products if they have an upset stomach.

Is It Safe to Eat Pumpkin When Pregnant?

It is perfectly safe to eat pumpkin and pumpkin seeds when pregnant.

Pumpkin has many nutrients that are good for pregnancy.

Pumpkins are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin B-6, vitamin C, Iron and Zinc.
