These super foods bliss bites are a tasty snack that are packed with healthy nutrition. We are sharing our two favorite recipes for vegan snacks.
I had always been so against detoxes, but after watching Game Changers years ago I felt really pulled to incorporate more super foods into our diets. So I did TONS of research on super foods and programs for healthy plant-based diets and came across a company called Your Super. I was so impressed with their products that I decided to give it a try.
Thus our first detox began and we are sold! At first it was hard, but after a couple of days, we were feeling so dang good! Eating more super foods and plant-based meals (see our list of favorite smoothies and dinners at the end of the post) made us feel so energized. One thing I missed though was snacks. We researched all sorts of recipes, and ended up combining all the knowledge we gathered to make these vegan snacks.
They are packed with nuts, raisins, craisins, and various Your Super powders all combined into the most delicious little balls. We just had to come up with the perfect name for them. My daughter suggested “bliss bites” and it has stuck!
What are Super Foods?
Super foods are foods that are nutritionally dense and good for the body. Foods like salmon, acai, blueberries, sweet potatoes, nuts and kale are all considered super foods. They should be rich in nutrients, like antioxidants, have healthy fats, and help fortify the body against disease. Basically they rock!
What Ingredients are Needed for Vegan Snacks – Bliss Energy Bites?
Both of these recipes only need a few ingredients from the pantry. For the exact measurements, scroll down to the recipe card. I’ve linked to all the different Your Super products. You’re going to love these!
Chocolate Craisin Bliss Bites
- Cashews or Almonds
- Chocolate Powder (either the Chocolate Lovers Mix or the Chocolate Protein works, or any chocolate protein powder you love)
- Plant Protein (Skinny Protein)
- Forever Beautiful
The raisins and craisins give them wonderful natural sweetness, while the nuts add texture and loads of healthy fats and protein. Then the different powders just pack them full of nutrients.
How to Make Vegan Snacks – Bliss Energy Bites
You aren’t going to find a recipe that is easier to make than this one:
- Place all the ingredients for one of the bliss bites in a blender and mix until sticky.
- Roll the mixture into balls and store in an airtight container. I like them at room temperature so they aren’t as hard, but they can be stored in the refrigerator too.
Balance and Healthy Food Habits
We get asked all the time how we stay fit and healthy being food bloggers, and it is really simple…balance and healthy food habits. Snacks are important for me. Eating snacks helps me stay full and satisfied between meals, but it’s important that I choose healthy snacks. So I have a snack in the mid-morning and another in late afternoon.
These bliss bites are perfect for grabbing a quick snack to boost your energy. My kids like them too so it’s a double win!
We have a whole post on other healthy snacks our kids enjoy.
If you’re trying your first detox or simply looking for a healthy snack idea, try these vegan snacks! Before you know it, you will have bliss energy bites stock piled all over the place when those snacky cravings hit!
