Everyone loves fireworks on the 4th of July, but let's be honest, all I care about are these Reese's Firecracker Oreos! Perfect for potluck dessert ideas!
1 1/2CupsRed Candy Meltsmelted
1CupWhite Candy Meltsmelted
1CupBlue Candy Meltsmelted
1/4CupSemi Sweet Chocolate Chipsmelted
10-12Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Place the melted semi sweet chocolate in a ziploc and snip the end.
Pipe straight lines down parchment paper to be the fuse.
Set aside to harden, this can take up to 1 hour depending on how warm your home is.
Separate the oreos into 3's for each fire cracker.
Using a fork, dip each bottom oreo all the way up it's sides but not worrying about the top in the blue candy melts and place on each peanut butter cup.
Repeat with the middle oreos in the white and place the oreo on top of the blue oreo.
Repeat with the red candy melts but dip the entire oreo.
Allow everything to harden.
Once the fuse is hard, gently peel back the parchment and remove the fuse, one at a time.
Place a small dollop of melted chocolate on the top of the red oreo and gently stand the fuse in the chocolate. I like the chocolate to have cooled a little so it's slightly thick and will hold the fuse up without me standing there.
