Instructions
For the Cookies
Cream shortening and sugar with eggs
2/3 Cup Shortening,
1 Cup Sugar,
2 Eggs
Sift dry ingredients together
2 Cups Flour,
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda,
2 teaspoons Baking Powder,
1/2 teaspoon Salt,
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Add alternately with mashed bananas to creamed mixture.
1 Cup Bananas
Stir in Vanilla.
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
For the Frosting
Beat butter until smooth.
1/3 Cup Butter
Add all other ingredients and beat until a smooth frosting develops.
2 3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar,
1/2 teaspoon Lemon Zest,
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
Frost the cooled cookies.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
