Gooey Butter Cake
If there is one dessert worth making this week, it is this ooey gooey butter cake. This is Paula Deen's original, legendary recipe in all its buttery, golden glory, and it is exactly as incredible as you have heard.

Ingredients
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix 18.25 oz
- 3 Eggs divided
- 16 Tablespoons Butter melted, divided
- 8 Ounces Cream Cheese 1 package, softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 16 Ounces Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
- Combine the cake mix, 1 egg and 8 tablespoons butter and mix well with an electric mixer.1 Box Yellow Cake Mix, 3 Eggs, 16 Tablespoons Butter
- Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs, vanilla and 8 tablespoons butter and beat together.3 Eggs, 8 Ounces Cream Cheese, 1 teaspoon Vanilla, 16 Tablespoons Butter
- Add the powdered sugar and mix well.16 Ounces Powdered Sugar
- Spread over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to over bake as the center should be a little gooey.
