Instructions
Defrost the puff pastry on the counter until soft.
1 Sheet Frozen Puff Pastry
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Roll out into a square just bigger than it began to help seal the cracks together. Cut into 4 squares.
Mix the mayo and mustard and spread a little into the middle of each square.
1/4 Cup Mayonnaise,
1 1/2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
Top with 2 tablespoons of the cheese, a slice or two of ham and the final 2 tablespoons of cheese.
1 Cup Gruyere Cheese,
4-8 Slices Ham
Whisk the egg and water together. Fold each corner of the puff pastry in and brush with the egg wash.
1 Large Egg,
1 teaspoon Water
Repeat with all puffs and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
Serve with jam and a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
