Instructions
In a standing mixer add the butter, shortening and brown sugar and beat until smooth.
3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter,
3/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar,
1/4 Cup Sugar
Add the egg and molasses and beat again until well incorporated.

1/4 Cup Molasses
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, seasonings, salt and baking soda.
2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour,
1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon,
1 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger,
1 1/4 teaspoon Allspice,
1/2 teaspoon Salt,
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
Turn the mixer on low and slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
Mix well and cover tightly with saran wrap.
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
Using a heaping tablespoon, roll the dough in a bowl and roll in the sugar.
1/2 Cup White Sugar
Place on a baking sheet and either wrap with saran wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake or bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly and sprinkle with additional sugar if desired and enjoy!
