Sweet and sour meatballs are the perfect appetizer for your next tailgate party! They can be baked in the oven, or made in the Crockpot or Instant Pot.

Instructions
For the meatballs:
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, add the meat, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, coconut milk, and seasonings.
2 Pounds Ground Beef,
2/3 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs,
2 Tablespoons Dry Minced Onion,
1 Large Egg,
1/4 Cup Coconut Milk,
1 1/2 teaspoons Ground Ginger,
2 teaspoons Salt,
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Mix with your hands until just combined.
Roll into balls by rubbing your hands with a little oil and then place in a greased 9x13" baking pan.
Bake for 20 minutes.
For the sauce:
In a sauce pan over medium heat, add the oil, peppers and garlic.
1 Tablespoons Canola Oil,
1/3 Cup Red Bell Pepper,
1/3 Cup Yellow Bell Pepper,
1/3 Cup Green Bell Pepper,
1 Clove Garlic
Saute until tender, about 3 minutes.
Add onion powder, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, sugar and sesame.
½ Tablespoons Onion Powder,
½ Cup Rice Vinegar,
½ Cup Ketchup,
¼ Cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce,
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar,
⅛ teaspoon Sesame Oil
Stir to combine and add the oranges and juice.
1/4 Cup Canned Mandarin Oranges
Bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, stir the cornstarch and water together and then whisk into the sauce.
3 Tablespoons Cornstarch,
¼ Cup Cold Water
Bring back to a boil then turn down to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve over meatballs with sesame seeds and green onions.

*You can also just place the meatballs in a slow cooker with the sauce for 3-4 hours on high.
Meatballs can be frozen before or after cooking.
