Yes, this is Oprah’s favorite Mar A Lago turkey burger! Did you see that episode years and years ago? And can we also remember all of those amazing giveaways she did? Man those were some lucky audiences. And bloggers used to do giveaways allll the time and dang good ones, but guess what, we are realizing that readers just aren’t responding like they used to. Isn’t that sad?
I totally want to bring them back though. I mean, how cool would it be if we gave away a washer and dryer, cash or an awesome vacation? Am I right?! Ok, let’s move on with it and talk about this burger. It’s one of my favorites and the chutney totally is what makes it awesome.
This chutney reaaaaaaaallllllly had me worried. A lot. I worked it out though and just look at it in all it’s glory.
Do you see that chutney dripping? I know you want to take a bite.
This wasย my first time ever uttering the words, “mmmm this burger is good!!” Now if a true burger hater can become converted by it, I can bet ya money you will too cause guess what I don’t know any other burger haters so chances are you will be a lot more willing to give it a fair chance.
I never saw this whole episode, but my girlfriend, Lisa did and so I had to watch the portion with the making of this burger and it was worth it!! Enjoy!!!

What flavor Chutney?
Hi Chan! The name of the flavor we enjoy is Major Grey’s Chutney which is a Mango chutney.
I have made these turkey burgers since they were on Oprah. Somehow I misunderstood the recipe and added to the chutney to the meat successfully. I also discovered the ginger wasabi sauce was the perfect condiment( since the chutney was in the burger) just thought you might like the options.
Ooooohhhh….thank you for the tip! I love it!
In your Chutney directions, you are tossing diced pear with cinnamon and salt….but there is no cinnamon listed in the ingredients. How much cinnamon did you use?
I just updated the recipe. Sorry about that! 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
This looks UNREAL. SERIOUSLY amazing.
It tastes just as good too!
These look and sound very good! I actually prefer turkey over beef burgers. I don't love them though. It took me years to even be able to eat them, so I know what you mean.
I'm obsessed with major grey's chutney. We always warm it up and serve it over our steaks. Delicious.
This burger looks absolutely fabulous! I don't like hamburgers at all, but turkey burgers I can do. The chutney sounds amazing too.
Love that chutney! Yes, I am going to the movie and party! I really hope you can make it!
These are seriously delicious. I've made them a few times and everyone I've made them for has raved about them. I also usually half the recipe and I still can get 8 or more good sized burgers out of it. They're great plain without a bun or anything too! Yummy!
I'm a saucy person too. Sounds delicious!
