Well, this happened. And it happened at 9am. That’s right folks, a morning s’more is just as good for you as a protein shake. Oh, actually it’s not, so maybe let’s not write any crazy comments about how I’ve lost it. BUT! When inspiration strikes and it’s something the little ones would love too you just have to go for it and make a peanut butter pretzel crisps s’mores. And if you make a morning s’more…
You’ll probably have to use the grill since you don’t have a fire pit going. So you turn on the propane, turn on the burners, lean back and push the ignite button because you’ve always secretly feared it would blow up or something.
And when you hit the ignite button with fear in your heart you’re probably going to have the dang thing explode with fire that leaps higher than your dang head and scares your pants right off of you. So since your fear came true you’ll have to run inside and make sure you still have eyebrows, which you do. So you’ll start to roast your mallows and stack chocolate on a peanut butter pretzel crisp. Once you get the marshmallow on and take a bite…
Well you’ll pretty much devour the whole before the kids see you because it’s that good. The kids will come over and see your sticky face and once they see your sticky face, their going to ask you for a peanut butter pretzel crisps s’more. And I clearly should never write, “If you give a mouse a cookie” books. Ever. But that all truly happened and I about had a heart attack. Cade, I officially name you king of the grill as I’m never touching it again.

These sound absolutely delicious and I am dying to make them but can’t find the peanut butter pretzel crisps. I’ve been to 3 stores and haven’t had any luck…any suggestions?
Sweet Basil
Oh no!! Our local grocery store has them. i say you grab the original and just melt down a little peanut butter and butter and dip them. 🙂
Amy
Good idea – I’m going to keep looking, but if I can’t find them, I’ll try that. My 13 year old son said we should just use regular pretzel crisps and Reese’s!
Sweet Basil
absolutely! We have that version on the site too and it’s actually my favorite!
Amy
We found the pretzels at Wal-Mart…made the s’mores last night and they were worth the wait! 🙂

Haha! I was reading that post thinking that it sounded just like that book, “If you give a mouse a cookie!” Too funny. I have always had a fear of propane grills! But I would push my fear aside for one of these S’mores! I’m kind of freaking out about Peanut Butter Pretzel Crisps… I need!
Sweet Basil
LOL! After I finished writing it I thought, “I am such a mom. My blog just sounded like a book.” haha

I’ve never even thought of something like this on a pretzel crisp. Such a great idea! The added saltiness to the s’mores sounds so good.
Sweet Basil
I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious it is. But seriously, a fire might be a safer way (strangely enough) to roast them
