Doterra cream cheese lemon cookies with essential oils are so pillowy soft and delicious. I love that they use an essential oil too, because not only is it a lifesaver when you don’t have the actual fruit on hand, but it leaves a light and delicious taste to anything you are making. I may need to try adding it to these awesome lemon
poppy seed pancakes,
lemon strawberry shortcakes or this
lemon roasted broccoli.
You know when you start to peel and orange you get of squirt of essence that fills the air? It even gets onto your hands and the scent stays there for a while. Well, you just experienced essential oils.
Essential oils are powerful. They are the protector and life blood of the plants they come from. When harvested properly and tested to be free of chemicals, toxins and any other contaminants, these oils can be therapeutic to the body and the mind.
Do Essential Oils Have Health Benefits?
Many people believe that essential oils have health benefits.
There is not enough scientific evidence to prove these claims, but many essential oils are helpful for overall health.
For instance, chamomile oil is good for skin care and is used at bedtime for its relaxing effects.
Peppermint oil helps relieve headaches and eases stomach upset and digestive issues.
Lavender oil is known for its relaxing effect.
Citrus oils are good for household cleaning and are soothing and relaxing.
Do Cookies With Cream Cheese In Them Need To Be Refrigerated?
You do not need to refrigerate cookies or brownies containing cream cheese.
What Is A Substitute For Cream Cheese?
You can use 1 cup pureed cottage cheese or 1 cup plain yogurt that has been strained in cheese cloth instead of cream cheese in most recipes.
You could also substitute low fat or non fat cream cheese for regular cream cheese.

Hi Mary, each oil is a little different in how strong a flavor so unfortunately it will take a little experimenting. I do this by adding half the amount, mixing it in and smelling and tasting the dough.
Do you roll the cookie dough in powdered sugar before baking?
Hi Mandi, you just sprinkle it on after baking. 🙂
