Do Essential Oils Have Health Benefits?
Many people believe that essential oils have health benefits.
There is not enough scientific evidence to prove these claims, but many essential oils are helpful for overall health.
For instance, chamomile oil is good for skin care and is used at bedtime for its relaxing effects.
Peppermint oil helps relieve headaches and eases stomach upset and digestive issues.
Lavender oil is known for its relaxing effect.
Citrus oils are good for household cleaning and are soothing and relaxing.
Do Cookies With Cream Cheese In Them Need To Be Refrigerated?
You do not need to refrigerate cookies or brownies containing cream cheese.
What Is A Substitute For Cream Cheese?
You can use 1 cup pureed cottage cheese or 1 cup plain yogurt that has been strained in cheese cloth instead of cream cheese in most recipes.
You could also substitute low fat or non fat cream cheese for regular cream cheese.

Mary
Hi I love these! Could you tell me if other oil flavors would work as well? I’m wondering about doTERRA cinnamon oil in particular.
THANKS!
Sweet Basil
Hi Mary, each oil is a little different in how strong a flavor so unfortunately it will take a little experimenting. I do this by adding half the amount, mixing it in and smelling and tasting the dough.
Mandi
Do you roll the cookie dough in powdered sugar before baking?
Sweet Basil
Hi Mandi, you just sprinkle it on after baking. 🙂
Linda
Has anyone tried using honey instead of sugar?

Janet
These cookies look great! Is there a link for the lemon oil? And can you substitute any other ingredient for the oil, such as lemon juice or extract? Thank you.
Sweet Basil
There isn’t a link. You’d just need to find a local dealer. You could definitely use extract but use a little at a time until it tastes right so it’s not too much or too little
Judy
I make these cookies every month for my Bunco group. Word got out to some other friends and now it seems like I make them at least twice a week for friends. They are the best.

This has been a hard year for my seasonal, hay fever induced asthma. It has lasted a LOT longer than it usually does and I have nothing to help, I didn’t realize oils could be an answer-awesome!!! And I am intrigued by the idea of cooking with oils. What a fun concept.

Thnx for sharing the recipe. These cookies look amazzing and I’m going to bake some this weekend although, on the ingredients it doesn’t list the vanilla nor the eggs but in the instructions it does so how much vanilla do we use and how many eggs do we use?? I am new to essential oils and am excited to start using them:))
