Hi all! Des from Life’s Ambrosia here again and this time I’ve got a fun take on chicken wings for you: Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Wings. Chicken wings are always a huge favorite in our home so I am always looking for different ways to try them. These are the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and were a hit with adults and kiddos alike.
Chicken wings are one of my favorite things to make. I love them, because like most chicken recipes, you can make them a million different ways and never get tired of them. You can make them spicy, sweet, dry and sauced. Any which way you can think of really and people are sure to clamor for more.
These Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Wings, like most of the wings I make are baked. I choose to bake them because it saves on the mess. Frying chicken wings can get so messy. Baking them in the oven gets them crispy and keeps your kitchen mess down, which is always a plus.
The sauce for these wings is really easy. It’s simply a mixture of sweet hot mustard, sweet hot pepper mustard and butter. When I first made this recipe I just used the sweet hot mustard and it was pretty good, but the next time I tested it I added a little sweet hot pepper mustard. It added a touch more heat and I loved the red color that it added.
It was the perfect sauce to sauce the wings.
And also made a pretty good dipping sauce too!
So if you are looking for a new wing recipe to try then you need to try these Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Wings pronto. They are perfect for weeknight family dinners, parties and game day snacks. Get at it!
