We debated back and forth about posting these White Chocolate Dipped Mint Milanos but in the end decided to go for it because they are so easy and pretty!
What is White Chocolate?
White chocolate doesn’t qualify as genuine chocolate because it doesn’t contain chocolate solids (a.k.a. cocoa powder).
White chocolate is typically made from a blend of cocoa butter, milk solids, sugar, milk fat and lecithin — a fatty emulsifier that holds it all together.
Will White Chocolate Hurt Dogs?
Dogs cannot metabolize theobromine, a component of chocolate, so it quickly builds to toxic levels and can lead to death.
White chocolate has lower levels of theobromine, but is still dangerous in any amount.
These Holly Mix Sprinkles can be a little tricky to find but because we use them every year and I can’t always count on Target to have them in stock, I’ve just resorted to buying them through Amazon. It’s just easier and they have a better variety of sprinkles than our local grocery store.
We love to make these little hot white chocolate dipped mint milanos because they look fancy, taste awesome and take zero work with barely any cleanup. Heck, if you make them with kids they will even lick up the last of the white chocolate so you don’t have to clean the bowl!
Gag, I just cannot even imagine that ever being ok. Please know I was kidding.
You can wrap these up all pretty for the neighbors or teachers at school, or what is really cute is to add a little hot cocoa in a bag with these (sealed of course) and call them hot cocoa dippers. They really do taste ridiculously wonderful dipped in hot cocoa.
The cookie gets all melty and that mint chocolate and white chocolate swirl all through the cocoa. It’s dreamy.
What Are Mint Milanos?
Milano cookies are a trademarked cookie manufactured by Pepperidge Farm as part of their series of “European” cookies.
Each cookie consists of a thin layer of chocolate sandwiched between two biscuit cookies.
Now if you’re one of our friends or neighbors you’ve probably noticed that we don’t give out gifts or send Christmas cards. We decided a few years ago that we would serve instead of spending time on gifts and donate instead of buying supplies, mailing new family photos etc. We still reach out with messages of love to those we care about, but we do so with a little text, note or whatever is simple and from the heart.
Even if you only spend $15 on holiday giving it actually can go a really long way for someone else. There’s a lot of hurt in the world and each dollar does make a difference. Please, don’t feel like I’m on a soapbox, I promise I’m not. I’ll gladly eat anything you deliver. This is just our way of giving since we’ve received much service over the years that we promised we would one day pay forward.
This year we are donating to Operation Underground Railroad (Our Rescue). We have been following their journey for a while now and have felt certain that we are to help spread the word and ask for help from our amazing readers and friends. Did you know that it’s estimated that 2 million children are stuck in slavery? The sex-trade industry has come to the United States and not just other countries. Many of them are toddlers. TODDLERS. This has been one of the hardest subjects Cade and I have ever learned about, but this team of people have an amazing story about how this is their calling in life, to RESCUE these CHILDREN and people from the sex-trade.
You can read about their stories and facts HERE.
It’s our funds that allow them to go rescue and while sometimes they only save 3-4 children, to even just 1 child it is a miracle.
I know, this isn’t all about food today, but it is something we can each be more aware of. You can donate one time or every month. It’s up to you. But you and I could help bring a sweet child the miracle they desire. May the Lord watch over them until help arrives.
This wasn’t sponsored. We are just trying to do more each Christmas season and this is a cause we can get behind.

Thanks for sharing this organization. It makes me want to have more to give more. It feels good to give. 😉

Us too. We want to find ways to spend less and serve more. So much hurt in the world that it can be overwhelming but maybe we can concentrate on one person at a time.

I had the privilege of hearing Tim Ballard speak in Portland last month about O.U.R. That is something I will never forget. I love what you are doing ?

Did you?!! How amazing! I was supposed to go to an event last winter with him, but had sick kiddos and had to miss. 🙁
