It’s national rice pudding day on August 9th and Cade could not be happier. In Brazil he had rice pudding every now and again and says that it was so creamy and wonderful. Sadly I’m not good at making rice pudding so when an opportunity came up to work with Kozy Shack® Rice Pudding on a rice pudding post he was literally replying yes before I had even finished reading the email. And because I adore him I decided to make one of his favorite toppings and surprise him with some good friends coming over to enjoy bananas foster rice pudding.
I could quite honestly eat these bananas with a spoon all on my own, but that creamy rice pudding really does make it so much more wonderful. And Kozy Shack doesn’t use artificial ingredients or fillers. It uses the same ingredients you would have in your kitchen: milk, eggs, sugar and rice. Kozy Shack makes pudding the same way it has for 45 years, slowly, one batch at a time, from the same simple, wholesome ingredients. Awesome!
My favorite part of the night, and this is quite surprising as we truly love cooking was that we didn’t have to do much at all. In fact, the bananas only took about 3 minutes. It was perfection so that we could actually relax and enjoy our company versus fussing around in the kitchen. And Kozy Shack makes such a high quality product it didn’t feel like we were sacrificing flavor.
And just think of the possibilities! If you don’t like bananas foster, well first of all you’re crazy, but if you don’t you could always make a dulce de leche version, or the Brazil way with sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon, or even just fresh fruits and nuts!! So get on it folks! A new dessert that takes 3 min! You can head over to Kozy Shack’s facebook page to enter to win an exclusive Rice Pudding Day package!

My mom has always made the best rice pudding, so I’ve never had a reason to try any other, but hers is more custard-like. The Kozy Shack looks really creamy and the addition of bananas foster… Yum!

Hi Alexis,
I recommend you give it a try. We love it in our home plus it is gluten-free as are all their puddings. That is a bonus. Have a good day!!
