Chicken Caprese Sandwich

Hi! I am Lindsay, from “Our Family Treat.” My husband and I love cooking together and kept getting asked for our recipes, so we decided to start a blog with a few of our favorites. I was thrilled that Carrian asked me to share a few recipes with her readers while she is out. (PS…I hope you get better)
We went to Red Robin a few months ago, and they had this seriously AWESOME Chicken Caprese Sandwich. We decided we could make it better at home…so here you have it!

What Kind Of Cheese Do You Use In Caprese?

The kind of cheese used for caprese salads and sandwiches is Mozerella Cheese.

Is Chicken Breast Healthier Than Thighs?

Both chicken thighs and breasts are good sources of lean protein.

Thighs have a few more calories, but thigh and breast meat actually do not differ that much in nutrient content.

How Long Will Pesto Keep?

Homemade pesto can be kept for 5-7 days in the refrigerator.

Purchased refrigerated pesto will keep for up to 14 days in the refregerator.

  1. This looks delicious! 🙂 I love the recipes you post! We have a challenge in our family- my husband has to eat gluten free foods. Its usually pretty simple to make adjustments, but it gets pretty tricky with baking breads, desserts, or anything that involves flours and xanthum gum. Thanks for sharing !:)

  2. Thank you Lindsay! Your sandwich looks amazing. In fact it's one of our friend's favorite sandwiches so I'll tell her to come check out your recipe!
