Um, you can make brownies in a blendtec. Knucka whaaaa??! My friend Kristy’s husband, Brett makes them blender brownies (fancy that considering that her blog is, Sweet Treats and More) and before they moved to California they brought some over to share with us. Yeah, I was pretty much sold. Except, the food blogger in us always has to experiment so since I tend to make light desserts like these peach melba raspberry bars and lemon curd napoloeons I decided to get crazy and make chocolate lovers blender fudge brownies in our Blendtec blender!
And the frosting is pretty darn awesome too. I could have licked the whole bowl clean.
Our littlest celebrated her 4th birthday in June and requested brownies with ice cream for dessert. Our family clearly does brownies more than cake. I don’t know why but it’s the truth. Anyway, we tried to make the day really fun for her. She wanted donuts for breakfast, pizza for dinner and like I said, brownies and ice cream for dessert. By the end of the day I felt like someone should roll me to bed, but it was worth it.
We also took the kiddos to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. Um, so cute! I hardly ever like sequels. They tend to not be as good as the first movie, but we loved this one! It is so darn cute and I even heard that there could be a third! Now, that could be pushing it a little far, but we will still totally see it.
I cannot believe how talented people are that they can create such amazing graphics. AMAZING! Definitely a must buy when it comes out and this time we can enjoy the brownies while we watch it!
Can Brownies Be Frozen?
Brownies can be frozen successfully.
The type of brownie which has a cheesecake swirl or layer can sometimes “sweat” a little on thawing, but they will be perfectly safe to eat.
Just wrap cooled brownies well or place in an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
How Long Will Brownies Keep?
Properly stored, brownies will keep for 3-4 days.
Do Brownies Need To Be Frosted?
Brownies delicious with no frosting, with a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top, or frosted with your choice of frosting.
What is the Best Blender to Buy?
We get asked every month what blender is best to buy. We know there are a lot of options out there so we did a ridiculous amount of testing and if you name it we’ve used it. I’ll tell you right now, there is no little discount blender we recommend at all. And in fact, there’s only one blender that blended smooth and evenly, didn’t bounce on the counter or burn out and had great functions for everything you need.
We recommend any Blendtec blender and we use the wild side jar the most. AND we got you a discount code to help out with the purchase! You’re so welcome! Just use, OHSWEETBASIL20 at check out!

Those look so amazing and can’t wait to try the recipe ! I’m not much of a baker and these look easy enough. Can I add walnuts to the brownie ? If so, how much and is it a straight addition or would it require changing up some other ingredient ?
Sweet Basil
Hi Mary,
You can add nuts. I would toss them with a little of the flour and then fold them in at the very end so they don’t sink to the bottom.

Hi there. I just baked the fudge brownie. I’m not sure why but its too fudgy in the middle though the outside is perfect after baked for 30mins. The brownie and frosting are extremely sweet even when I sub withndark choc and reduced the sugar by 1/4c. When put together it’s a sugar rush (extremely sweet)! Think better to eat it without the frosting.you mentioned baking choc in your list but there’s no mentioned where to put it in and white sugar i assumed it’s 1 1/4c cos you didnt note fown the unit. Did I miss something?
Sweet Basil
Hi! There should have been a comma, it’s add the chocolate, and chocolate chips. 🙂 The brownies should move a little when you remove them from the oven as they finish cooking outside of the oven and will still be slightly gooey until cooled, however we’ve made them a few times and have yet to have them turn out gooey after cooling. You could always put a little tin foil over the brownies and cook for an additional few minutes if your oven is cooking different than mine. If the frosting is too sweet, add a pinch of salt, cut out the vanilla, and cut down on the cream and powdered sugar.
