Do Reese’s Rice Krispies Need to be Refrigerated?
Reese’s Krispies can be stored at room temperature in air tight containment (zip-top bag with no air in it), for 1 to 2 days without any ill effect. They keep longer than they last, if you get my drift. You can refrigerate them.

Who has left over Halloween candy?!
I know I do. I was trying to think up a delicious way to enjoy all of that candy other than just eating piece by piece and I came up with these. Oh! I think I forgot to even tell you about Halloween!
Ok, first of all, our sweet little one had just healed from Croup. And a bad version of it. She’s only 16 lbs so to be hit with an extremely bad strain of croup was a big deal. By Halloween it was just a bad cold, so all of the scary not breathing, or troubled breathing had thankfully ended. Two steroids is what it took and I pray it doesn’t ever happen again. Croup is quite honestly one of the worst things ever.
Anyway, last year I had wanted to dress our oldest up as Rainbow Brite, but I am sooooo glad I waited until this year. Aren’t they darling?!

Are Reese’s Rice Krispies Gluten Free?
Reese’s Rice Krispies are not actually gluten-free. They contain malt and, sometimes, barley for a flavor enhancer. Besides this, they are made in a gluten-filled vicinity which makes them officially non-gluten-free.
What How Reese’s Krispies are Made…
Reese’s Krispies
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Corn Syrup
- 1 1/3 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 4 1/4 Cup Rice Krispies
- 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
- 6 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, chopped
Instructions
- In a large sauce pan over medium heat, melt the sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter until smooth and evenly combined.1 Cup Sugar, 1 Cup Corn Syrup, 1 1/3 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- Remove from heat.
- Quickly add the salt and cereal and stir to combine thoroughly.1 Pinch Salt, 4 1/4 Cup Rice Krispies
- Add the chocolate chips and stir again.1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
- Wait about 1 min and add the candy, quickly folding the mixture together so as to not smash up the candy.6 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop rounded tablespoons onto the sheet.
- Let cool and devour!

Who ever has leftover Reese Cups? lol 🙂 Looks yummy.
Yummy! Just a tip: It was easier to chop up the candy after they were in the freezer overnight… from experience using a chopper is the easiest and least messy way, but if they are room temp, you can say MESS! lol
Also, MAKE SURE YOUR COOKWARE IS NONSTICK OR SPRAY IT GOOD!!! Thank God my saucepot is nonstick, but I poured it over the cereal in a mixing bowl… and didn't spray it… MESS!! lol
