Soft Pretzels with Cheese Sauce
I can’t believe I’ve never taken the time to post the perfect soft pretzels with cheese sauce. I have a really delicious cheese stuffed pretzel recipe, but it’s so different to dunk your pretzel in gooey cheese sauce. And don’t worry, this uses all real cheese. Booyah!!
When my mom and I would go to the mall it was kind of a big deal. My mom does not enjoy driving or going to the mall, so I knew she was sacrificing for me. But she’s good like that, always, always sacrificing for us kids. But there were two good things about the mall that Mom was totally down with, Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls with extra frosting and a soft pretzel with cheese. It was our thing. And I kind of want to go back to the mall with her now just to be all nostalgic like.
{It only seemed appropriate to talk about shopping and add this pretty little shot our 8 year old took of me holding the pretzels in this cute Shabby Apple Dress. Isn’t’ it so fun?}
So, we would walk around the mall trying to find me new pants or whatever it was, which we could never find because everyone knows the shopping rule, if you’re not looking you’ll want to buy it all, but need a specific item and it will never be found. Isn’t that true? I find so much to buy when I don’t want to buy but never anything cute when I’m looking so hard. Anyway, we would finally be leaving, but first buy a hot pretzel and cheese sauce which we would run through the rain out to the car (Washington truly does rain often) and share the hot, soft piece of deliciousness all the way home. I’m sure the cheese was fake, but who cares!
This recipe on the other hand is all real ingredients and the cheese sauce is so smooth and delicious. It’s not a bechamel like many people make, this is the real deal nacho cheese sauce. Boom! You can get the a cheesier cheese recipe by clicking this link for Nacho Cheese Sauce or a more mild cheese sauce in the recipe below. Both are fantastic!
