I am an ambassador for the Utah Dairy Council and this post is sponsored.

I’d rather have breakfast, lunch, and dinner cooked for me and a clean house than some expensive gift, A. because I’m cheap and B. because it means total relaxation for me. It doesn’t hurt the the Mr is totally awesome in the kitchen as well. He always pulls through for any special occasion. These Sour Cream Pancakes are soft, luscious and totally not my recipe, but they are our favorite. So, I decided to make a syrup equally as delicious. Creamy Marionberry Syrup gives a shout out to our favorite Northwest berry that we grew up

This Creamy Marionberry syrup is sure to delight every mother on Mother's Day or any other day. You can use blackberries too!

This year, as you may have noticed, we teamed up with the Utah Dairy Council to incorporate more dairy into our recipes and while most of our recipes have been a little more on the healthy side like Avocado Egg Salad, Skinny Turkey Taco Salad, and Cream of Tomato Soup we decided to show that adding a little extra calcium, Vitamin D etc into your diet is actually quite easy. So, you may not normally think about dairy in a syrup recipe, but trust me, it makes it so creamy and delicious.

So, not only are you giving Mom something scrumptious for breakfast, but you care so much about her that you’re taking care of her bones too. (Calories don’t count on holidays in case you forgot)

This Creamy Marionberry syrup is sure to delight every mother on Mother's Day or any other day. You can use blackberries too!

And don’t worry, if you need a good pancake recipe you can always make our favorite from Ina Garten, Sour Cream Pancakes. Trust me, they are incredible.

Is Marionberry the Same as Boysenberry?

A marionberry is different than a boysenberry.

A marionberry is derived from crossing two types of blackberries.

Boysenberry is a hybrid berry created from crossing blackberry, red raspberry, and loganberry.

Marionberries are elongated and glossy.

Boysenberries are fatter with bigger drupelets (each seed plus flesh).

How Long Will Berry Syrup Keep?

Fresh berry syrup will keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.

Berry syrup can be canned for a year or more.

Can You Reheat Syrup?

You can easily heat syrup in the microwave.

Or, place a pan of water on the stovetop and put the bottle of syrup in the pan.

Heat the water in medium heat and then simmer till syrup is hot.

Tooootally with you on the clean house. It instantly makes me FEEL expensive because rich people usually have clean houses since they can afford housekeepers and are probably driving in their Lamborghinis all day. Anyway, I wouldn’t mind doing that as long as I came home to a fat stack of these pancakes and syrup! YUMMMMMY!
