My girlfriend is always saying that she needs to stop eating my treats because I’m always having her try my “experiments”. The other day I was thinking of making a fruit and dip experiment as a healthier treat for her, Healthy Chocolate and Strawberries. I was trying to think of something to do with nutella and strawberries, stuff them, mix it with cool whip etc, but nothing seemed right. We had a little vanilla greek yogurt, so I tried swirling a little with the nutella. It’s fresh and delicious, and much healthier than your typical dip. In fact, one little Chobani Greek yogurt has 16g of protein. Much better for you than chocolate sauce, wouldn’t you say?
So, I brought the dip over to a little get together one night, and everyone was talking about the recipe on pinterest. Yup, someone else had already thought it up, but here’s the thing, I’m so not worried about it. I think people think up similar ideas all of the time. If you got it from someone else, give credit, please, but if it is something easy and obvious like this, and then you find out that 30 others were thinking the same thing, well that just happens sometimes.
So, we concluded that this is the perfect after school snack, fruit and dip for a party, or a late night treat. It’s fresh, healthy and delicious.
What Is The Difference Between Greek and Regular Yogurt?
Greek yogurt is strained 3 times to remove most of the liquid.
This makes Greek yogurt thicker and creamier.
Because Greek yogurt is strained, it is more concentrated and has a stronger flavor and contains more protein.
Are Strawberries Good For You?
Strawberries are very good for you.
Strawberries are packed with vitamins, fiber, and particularly high levels of antioxidants.
They are a sodium-free, fat-free, cholesterol-free, low-calorie food.
How Do You Store Fresh Strawberries?
The best way to store fresh strawberries, for the longest shelf life is in the refrigerator.
You should not wash strawberries before you are ready to eat them.
Moisture from washing strawberries will hasten the growth of mold.
Remove the strawberries from the container and sort out any bruised or moldy berries.
Line the container with a paper towel, put the strawberries back in the container and refrigerate.
Wash the strawberries just before serving them.

While I have serious doubts this is healthy by any measure, I do think it will be great to include at a valentines day party I’m hosting. It sounds delicious! I think visually they will look great next to these: https://www.californiastrawberries.com/strawberry-chia-jam-thumbprint-cookies/
Sweet Basil
That looks like a great combo!

This looks amazing but nutella isn’t healthy at all!! A half cup has 1600 calories, 96 grams of fat and 168 grams of sugar!!!
cheryl
Sorry, a full cup ^. But still!
Sweet Basil
No, it’s not, but what I was saying is it’s better than those over the top chocolate strawberries (that at the time) every blog was posting. Remember that? Chocolate cheesecake strawberries, chocolate butterfinger strawberries, etc etc. Good mercy it was crazy!

Or you can just add chocolate powder and some coconut sugar or agave syrup or no sugar at all. Got to try this stuff anyway.
Jasmine
Looks good. I will probably modify it. Nutella is anything but healthy.
Sweet Basil
no, it’s definitely not healthy, but it’s healthier than the normal fondue chocolate for dipping which is what we were going for. 🙂
