This strawberry fluff fruit dip recipe was one of the first recipes I fell in love with as a kid, and honestly, I’ve never grown out of it. It’s light, creamy, and totally irresistible. Plus, it couldn’t be easier: just two ingredients and a bowl.

I first had this at a party thrown by my friend Shannon Mattson, and it’s been a favorite ever since. Now my kids lick the bowl clean. No baking, no stress. Just two simple ingredients, a quick whip, and serve with fresh fruit.

If you’re new here, a quick confession. Fruit is my soulmate. I’ll choose a juicy peach or strawberries over chocolate. Almost. Fresh chocolate chip cookies are still sacred. Anywho, this dip is the best of both worlds: light, creamy, just sweet enough, and the kind of thing that makes you want to keep dipping “one more piece” of fruit.

Strawberry Fluff Fruit Dip Ingredients

Get ready to dip your fruit into this dreamy, fluffy dip! You and your family will go crazy for this recipe!

  • Marshmallow Fluff: You’ll want the jarred kind from the store. Jet-Puffed makes a version called marshmallow creme that works perfectly. I’ve even heard there’s a strawberry-flavored version out there! If you spot it, grab it!
  • Strawberry Cream Cheese: I like to use the 7.5-ounce container from Philadelphia. It adds the perfect fruity tang and creamy texture.

Just two ingredients for a totally dreamy, crowd-pleasing dip. You’ll find the exact measurements and step-by-step instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Can I Use Another Flavor of Cream Cheese?

Carrian Cheney

I don’t see why not! Use any fruit-flavored cream cheese you’d like. I’ve also seen cheesecake and brown sugar cream cheese, which would work nicely here, too.

How to Make Homemade Fruit Dip

This strawberry marshmallow dip is almost too easy! Like, “how is this even a recipe?” easy. It takes less than 5 minutes to whip up, and here’s all you need to do:

  1. Mix: Stir the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese with a hand mixer or a stand mixer until all the lumps are out.
  2. Serve: Spoon into a serving dish and serve alongside your choice of fruit.

That’s it! Truly, the easiest appetizer or snack. It’s perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, or just because you’re craving something sweet and fluffy. It’s always a crowd favorite!

What to Serve with Fruit Dip

This creamy, easy fruit dip is the perfect centerpiece for any fruit platter. I love setting a bowl in the middle of a large tray and surrounding it with fresh fruit, plus a few fun extras.

For balance, I often add something savory too. If you’re craving a salty contrast, a creamy artichoke dip is a great addition. Some of our favorite pairings include strawberries, blueberries, bananas, apples, kiwi, mango, pineapple, peaches, pears, and honeydew melon, along with cinnamon graham crackers, Nilla wafers, and pretzels for dipping.

And if you want to take things up a notch? Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips on top of the dip right before serving. Trust me. Kids (and grown-ups) go wild for it.

Tips for Making Fruit Dip

Carrian Cheney

Soften the Cream Cheese First

For the smoothest, fluffiest dip, let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before mixing. This makes it easier to blend with the marshmallow fluff and ensures there are no lumps.

Keep Your Fruit Looking Fresh

Some fruits, like apples and bananas, tend to brown quickly once sliced. To help prevent that, toss them with a splash of lemon or orange juice before serving. It adds a touch of brightness and keeps your platter looking fresh longer!

Storing This Strawberry Fluff Fruit Dip Recipe

This strawberry fluff fruit dip can be prepared up to 2 days in advance. Simply transfer it to an airtight container or cover it tightly with plastic wrap, then refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. For optimal freshness, avoid dipping fruit directly into the main container, as this can introduce moisture and cause the dip to break down more quickly.

Freezing is not recommended, as the cream cheese base may separate and result in a grainy texture once thawed.

When my kids walk in the door from school and this Strawberry Marshmallow Fruit Dip Recipe is on the counter ready to be dipped into, it is all smiles in our house! It is thick and creamy and oh so easy! All you need is 2 ingredients and 5 minutes!

Has anyone tried this with cool whip?

    1. Sweet Basil says:

It works great! Just make sure that the cream cheese is at room temperature so it’s not lumpy. Enjoy!

  3. Peggy Brady says:

Have had this dip for MANY years but add a box of Strawberry Jello mix with plain cream cheese….goes well with every fruit! Kids eat tons of fruit just for the dip. Can also add a touch of Ginger instead of Strawberry Jello for a more adult taste. Either way, it’s a HIT!!!

    1. Sweet Basil says:

      Ohhh I’ll totally try that!

  4. Jenn says:

I doubled the recipe for a party because the recipe says it yields only 4-6 servings….turns out it serves many more…after I ran out of fruit, we tried graham crackers with the remaining dip and that was also delightful! This is quite tasty!

  5. Lee says:

Can you just use plain philly cheese and add your fruit and also I live in Australia so what is fluff

    1. Lynda says:

Comes in a jar, we use this to make fudge with. Kraft makes it along with other brands….

      1. Deborah says:

My mother used philly cream cheese and powdered sugar great on pears from a can. Can be used on any fruit and any fruit from a can. Hope you try it I think it is better than the strawberry cream cheese too strong.

      2. Sweet Basil says:

        Deborah,
That sounds fantastic! Cannot wait to try it!

    2. Megan says:

If you use plain cream cheese, squeeze in lemon juice. Great flavor for all fruit.

      1. Sweet Basil says:

That’s a wonderful idea! We have a ton of fruit right now and I can try it out asap!

    3. Donna says:

Fluff is marshmallow cream. If you don’t want to use cream cheese you can blend the marshmallow cream with plain or flavored yogurt and then add a fruit jelly of your choice for flavoring. Most people stick with berry types but a nice lemon would be good too.

  6. Amber says:

I have used this recipe for years and everybody loves it. It tastes great with practically any fruit! I find if you whip the cream cheese first then add the marshmallow fluff, it’s easier and don’t get lumps.

    1. Sweet Basil says:

Absolutely, whipping it first definitely helps!

  7. Clara says:

I have made a very similar dip for many years. I use 16 ounce regular cream chees and 14 ounce marshemellow whip. Original recipe called for 8 ounce CC and 7 ounce whip but my family never thinks that is enough so I always have to double it I have never tried it with strawberry cream cheese, I’ll have to try it like that the next time. We eat it with strawberries, melon, pineapple, apples,

    1. Sweet Basil says:

I’ll have to try your way too!
